The Aims and Objectives of this evening are:

Aims:
• To help clinicians understand how to prevent the separation and loss of endodontic instruments during root canal therapy.

Objectives:
• Discuss pre-operative assessment of teeth scheduled for root canal therapy to highlight clinical problems.
• Explain how to access root canals to reduce the risk to instruments.
• Discuss protocols for canal preparation and shaping that will reduce stress on root canal instruments.
