Patient Testimonials

Dear Mr Dyas and Mr Murphy,

On my last appointment, your Receptionist asked me if I’d write a short letter covering my implant treatment.

I enclose my attempt to set out briefly the stages of treatment undertaken on my particular dental work. I’m not sure if the letter is what is required, so feel free to ‘bin’ it if necessary.

However I do thank you both, as stated in the letter, for all you undertook on my behalf, and to date, I have no dental problems, especially the implants.

With kind regards,

Mrs Rowbotham

Dental Implants,

My decision to have implants, was due to failing bridgework on the lower right hand side of the jaw. The options were to just have the failing teeth out, or a removable denture, or implants. I needed replacement teeth, as these were ‘chewing’ teeth and the second option of a removable denture, was something I didn’t consider for very long, knowing two friends who had both gone for this type of dental work found them not to their liking in a very short time.

In fact one kept his in the glove compartment of his car, and the other kept hers in the kitchen cupboard - obviously not recommended on a hygiene list for the mouth.

My first stage of treatment was for the removal of the failing teeth, and in my particular case the removal of some bone on the jaw, which was then inserted into the area to take the implants. This was because while I had depth for the implants, I needed extra width so that the new implants could sit firmly in the jaw. This procedure may not be necessary for others, as they may naturally have sufficient jaw area to accommodate implants.

After healing of the gums took place, I then had three titanium dental implants inserted, again following healing, the fitting of provisional acrylic implant bridgework was undertaken. After impressions were taken to get the right fitment for the top and bottom teeth to enable correct chewing movement, the manufacture of the implants was then commenced in the laboratory.

During all the many stages involved to create comfortable and healthy dental bridgework for me, Mr David Murphy and Mr Robert Dyas, explained all the processes, also the choice of materials I could have in the construction of the new teeth. They were both considerate and professional, which gave me confidence in their dentistry throughout all the procedures.

My dental work took place over a year ago, and this year I had X-rays taken to see if the teeth were now in good working order. All was perfect, and although implants can work out expensive, in my opinion, they are well worth the financial outlay. Should you be considering implants, my view is ‘yes’ have them done.

To David,

Best Wishes and Thank you for giving me back my smile.

To whom it may concern,

Having had two lower-jaw implants necessitated through 'sliding' movement of the lower denture giving semi-permanent soreness. I have no hesitation in recommending the same procedure to any person having a simular problem.

I have recieved excellent attention from all at the surgery.

Dear David,

Just a note to say how pleased I was with all my treatment from yourself and Rob Dyas in respect to handling my damaged front tooth and its replacement with an implant. Your service has been of the highest standard throughout and I'm a very satisfied customer. I would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone.

Cheers

Bill

Dear Stephen,

After completion of my appointment yesterday and time to recover, I feel as though I could not have gone through with this without the support of you and your team.

I am pleased I don't remember very much of the appointment because I have been able to resume my normal routine today which is a major milestone for me! i have to say the filing looks and feels great, much to the relief of my colleagues the office is a quieter place today because it hurts me to talk lots!

As ever, my heartfelt thanks go to yourself, Gemma, Kim and Sue for the superb support in helping me to get through a tough time.

Best wishes to everyone involved.

Yours sincerely

Dear Mr Murphy

I would like to thank you and Mr Dyas for the excellent treatment I have received with regard to my implants.

As an 'experienced' patient in both NHS and private sectors I feel well qualified to recognise a first class service when I see it. From start to finish the total package of presentation, expertise and teamwork has been most impressive and I would not hesistate to recommend your organisation to anyone requiring dental work.

Thank you also for contacting Richard Crexford. We have now started remedial work on the crowns.

I look forward to seeing you later in the year, and I'll bet there arn't many people who would feel comfortable saying that after a visit to their dentist!

Yours sincerely

A brief note to thank you most sincerely for the time and trouble you have spent sorting out my dental problems.

I have only had the opportunity to visit a few practices in Chesterfield and I had been less than impressed with many I saw.

Yours is an oasis and indeed a pleasure to visit.

Please also compliment your staff for the excellent professional service they provide.

See you in August.

JT, Chesterfield

How ungracious I was yesterday after all your brilliant work. I was so anxious and overwrought beforehand – not entirely one to the appointment – that I had difficulty in responding immediately. In the cool light of today however, I can view the treatment more calmly and express my approval and appreciation more coherently. It is truly a marked improvement.

Though we talked of the practical considerations yesterday we are both tacitly well aware of the emotional dimensions to your job – especially the work you undertook on me. Whilst I value hugely your technical skill and expertise, your sensitivity and honesty are just as important from my point of view. Otherwise I should never have come at all.

An unequivocal thank you for a splendid result.

Your Sincerely

JF, Dronfield

Now that my programme of dental restoration is complete I would like to take the opportunity of thanking you for the skill, patience, perseverance and endurance demonstrated during my marathon visits to your surgery.

The finished product is certainly a showcase for your practice and I shall have no hesitation in telling all who care to listen where they should go if they are interested in excellence.

Would you also convey my thanks to your Dental Technician for his skill and outstanding workmanship and to your support staff who always smiled whilst making me feel welcome and comfortable.

Yours Sincerely

GK, Sheffield
