Marian Vallina Endodontic Specialist, BDS MJDF RCS Eng MSc (Endod) DClinDent (Endod) (Hons) MEndo RCS Ed

Dr Vallina completed her MSc in Endodontics in 2010 and has limited her practice to Endodontics since then. Marian has been taking root canal treatment referrals at our practice since 2015, initially woking alongside Stephen Godfrey and now as a Practice Principal.

Marian graduated as a Dentist from the University of Birmingham in 2005. She has a Clinical Doctorate in Endodontics from the University of Sheffield and holds the Speciality Membership in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Marian also works part-time as a Clinical Teacher at the University of Sheffield Dental School.

Marian focuses on all aspects of the patient journey to make treatment as comfortable and as pleasant as possible. She regularly attends national and international conferences to keep abreast in the latest developments in clinical Endodontology from the key opinion leaders in the field. She applies these techniques to her daily practice and is constantly reviewing her results to maintain the best quality of patient care.
Mike Ainsworth BDS

Implantologist

Mike graduated from Birmingham University in 2002 and has been in private practice since that time. He became very interested in complex and cosmetic dentistry immediately, attending many courses and conferences both at home and abroad. Mike was very lucky to be exposed to complex restorative dentistry immediately after qualifying. He has been placing implants for over twelve years and has had the benefit of working with and being mentored by some of the leaders in the field of cosmetic dentistry and Implantology. He now spends a lot of his time mentoring dentists.

Mike has completed a large number of cosmetic restorative and implant cases over the years using the latest techniques and methods and he has an extensive portfolio of cases. He recently presented at the Royal College of Physicians in London.
Joanne Kearsley BDS

General Dental Practitioner

Joanne graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1987. Experienced in all areas of general dentistry, she won the coveted Medical Protection Society elective prize, and now supports the team with high quality general dentistry. Her medico legal training and experience brings a further dimension to enhance our patient care.

She is a member of the British Endodontic Society and the British Dental Association.
Mahomed Issa Periodontal Specialist, BDS MFDS RCS (Lond) MClin Dent

Mahomed provides our periodontal therapy and periodontal surgery including surgical regeneration at Stephen Godfrey Dental Care.

Mahomed graduated from the University of Sheffield in September 2007. He holds a position as a Speciality Doctor at Glenfield Hospital and is a Clinical Teacher at The School of Dentistry, University of Sheffield working in the Periodontology and Restorative Departments.

His interest has always been in Periodontology and in 2012 he gained, with Merit, a Masters in Periodontology from the University of Sheffield. He also has his Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS), from the Royal College of Surgeons, London. He gained entry to the ‘Specialist List in Periodontology’ held by the General Dental Council in February 2015.

He is highly experienced in diagnosis and treatment planning with an interest in using his periodontal knowledge and skills to establish a healthy periodontal environment, which is conducive to maintaining the natural dentition. His approach is centred on patient motivation and wherever possible non-surgical therapy. However where appropriate he uses surgical periodontal therapy including surgical regeneration and mucogingival plastic surgery to achieve optimal results. All surgical treatment is carried out using magnification and microsurgical instruments.

He is committed to his speciality and to continual professional development. He is a member of the British Society of Periodontology and European Federation of Periodontology.
Dr Simon Manian BDS(hons) MSc(Endo) PGCert(Health Education)

Simon graduated from the University of Sheffield with honours in 2009, and went on to complete his Masters Degree in Endodontics in 2018, for which he was awarded a distinction, from the University of Central Lancashire.

Simon enjoys being able to provide high quality dental treatment for his patients and accepts referrals for endodontic root canal treatments. Simon has a PGCert in healthcare education, and also works part-time as a specialty dentist at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in the department of Endodontics.

Simon is a member of the British Endodontic Society, and has provided hands on endodontic training sessions and lectures for many dental practitioners over the years.

In his spare time, Simon is a keen amateur photographer and enjoys exploring the peak district.
Dr Mago (I-Chun) Peng Endodontic Specialist, Lic Odont MFDS RCS Ed DClinDent (Hons) (Endo) MEndo RCS Ed

Dentist

Dr Mago Peng qualified as a dentist from Valencia, Spain in 2014 and gained extensive clinical experience in Spain, Sweden and the UK. Mago received postgraduate restorative training from Newcastle University prior to continuing her training in Sheffield. Mago has a Clinical Doctorate in Endodontics from the University of Sheffield and holds the Specialty Membership in Endodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons. She also worked as a Specialty Dentist in Restorative Dentistry at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield.

Mago is committed to providing excellent patient care and aims to ensure her patients feel comfortable and well-informed during their procedures.
